Old, But Still Cool-As-Can-Be

I don’t ride a motorcycle, but things like this make me wish I did. I’ve actually always wondered why companies don’t make much cooler safety gear. I mean, how much cooler would riders be if we swapped out the tired leather jacket and chaps for some Biker Scout-esque or Iron Mannish armor? Well, at some point Chilean born New York artist / designer Sebastian Errazuriz had a similar thought, because he created this beauty of a helmet inspired by LEGO’s Classic Space Astronaut. Imagine seeing a motorcyclist zipping around town in a full-on Classic Space outfit? Better still, how about someone riding a cool scooter that looks like this?

Thanks for the tip! I actually ended up seeing these in person at Comic-Con last week. They’re even cooler in the real world. The Daredevil one in particular looked like it was both a perfect replica and street-ready. The only one the didn’t have on display was the Iron Man one. Glad someone finally did this, although from the looks of things, there didn’t seem to be too much interest, at least form the SDCC set.
