Ma.K In The Day

There seems to have been a budding new brickmeme going around the last few months or so, with AFOLs getting down to make some Ma.K MOCs. (Say that five times fast.) If you’re wondering what “Ma.K” is, it’s shorthand for Maschinen Krueger, a series of Japanese plastic model kits from the 80s that blended Sci-fi Manga sensibilities with WWII-era military and industrial aesthetics. Needless to say, it was some really cool looking stuff that captured my imagination on trips to the hobby store as a kid. Anyway, the photo above is of the collection of MOCs done for the wrap-up of the first Ma.K-related building contest (to my knowledge) taken by .Tromas. Apparently he’s the Flickr user who created and administers the awesome Ma.K Bricks Group whose pool is filled with some amazing models that you should definitely check out by clicking through the image above. Unfortunately the contest ended this weekend, but I have a feeling we’ll be seeing plenty of Ma.K related projects and contest in the near future.

Toller Bericht Ich studiere eure WWW-Seite tatsächlich oft und wurde gelegentlich enttäuscht.
Macht weiter so und bis demnächst! Übrigens:
Im Firefox läuft bricksomething.com nicht so schön. Mag jemand da dran was tun?
Den Webbrowser verwenden doch ungeheuer viele Leser.
    LG aus Marz !
